Critical Care
Every Hour Matters. Every Life Matters.
Expanding Beyond Critical Care
The Brenda Fareri Pavilion will also strengthen care across our campus:
- Pediatric Emergency Department – Expanded by 3,500 square feet so children in crisis can be treated quickly and with compassion
- Maria Fareri Children’s Hospital – 15 new private rooms for young patients needing medical, surgical, or mental health care
- Women’s Health – 24 private rooms for maternity and women’s health, alongside the region’s most advanced NICU
- Medical ICU – Added capacity for the sickest patients facing complex, life-threatening conditions
- Oncology – Healing environments designed for patients and families fighting cancer together

– Navy Djonovic, Chair, Westchester Medical Center Foundation“The collective gifts of our community will provide you, your family, and patients of all ages access to the best advanced and critical care available, right here at home.”
A Better Patient Experience
When focusing on the design of our critical care tower, we kept one question at the forefront of the process: “What does the patient want and need?” Every floor of the facility blends the creative and the clinical, featuring modern architecture, innovative technologies, and an inclusive design for a stress-free experience for patients and staff. We want to create a healing atmosphere, valuing our patient’s well-being as much as physical health. These thought processes ensure that we are providing our caring and knowledgeable staff the best possible environment from which they can maintain their spot as critical care leaders in the Hudson Valley area.
